Form Forge’s visual builder is the fastest drag-and-drop form editor on WordPress. Three panels: fields on the left, your form in the middle, settings for the selected field on the right. Drag from the left, drop in the middle, edit on the right. That’s the whole interface.
Left panel — field palette. All 27 field types grouped by category (basic, choice, advanced, compound) with a search box. Drag any field into your form.
Middle panel — form canvas. Your form as it would appear on the frontend. Click any field to select it and open its settings in the right panel. Drag fields to reorder. Click the delete icon to remove.
Right panel — inline settings. The selected field’s configuration — label, placeholder, help text, required, validation, default value, conditional logic, and field-type-specific options (for example, choices for a dropdown, max file size for an upload).
No modal dialogs. No “Save and continue” buttons. No losing your place.
As you edit a field’s settings, the form canvas updates live. Change the label and you see it update immediately. Add a new choice to a dropdown and it appears in the preview. Toggle a field to required and the asterisk shows up right away.
Every Form Forge field type is available in the builder, from simple text to complex compound fields like repeater, calculation, map address, and Stripe payment. See all 27 field types →
Double-click any field’s label in the canvas to edit it in place. No need to select the field and go to the right panel for something this simple.
Right-click any field and select Duplicate — useful when you have five similar fields with slight variations.
Every field supports an optional description that appears below the field on the frontend. Perfect for short instructions (“Your number without the country code”) or explanations (“We’ll only use this for order confirmation”).
Set up conditional logic right in the field settings panel. Choose another field, pick a comparison operator (equals, not equals, contains, greater than, less than), and the target value. Combine multiple conditions with AND/OR. Works on every field type.

Drag a Page Break field into the canvas at any point and the form becomes a multi-step form. Form Forge automatically adds a progress bar and back/next navigation.

One toggle in the form settings turns any form into a full-screen, one-question-at-a-time Typeform-style experience. No separate builder, no separate form — it’s the same form rendered differently.

Beyond the field-level settings, the builder has a top-level form settings panel for:
Every setting is grouped and searchable so the panel doesn’t become a dump of hundreds of options.
The builder loads quickly — no multi-second initialization, no laggy drag interactions. Saves are near-instant thanks to an optimized autosave pipeline. Undo/redo never loses state. Large forms with 50+ fields remain responsive.
Other WordPress form builders also have drag-and-drop, but the UX quality varies:
Form Forge’s builder is designed to get out of your way. Most users report building their second or third form significantly faster because the tool stops fighting them.
If you’d rather describe the form instead of building it, Form Forge’s AI form generator creates a complete form from a plain-English prompt — then drops you into the same drag-and-drop builder to polish it.
