Google Calendar date picker
This is the killer feature for booking forms. Form Forge’s Calendar Date Picker field shows real available time slots based on:
- Your connected Google Calendarthe picker reads your free/busy data via Forge API

When a user submits the form, the booking goes into your calendar as an event via the Google Calendar integration — no extra steps.
Fallback for offline mode
If Google Calendar isn’t connected, the field still renders all configured time slots (without free/busy filtering). Users can see and pick a slot; you manually add it to your calendar after receiving the submission.

Payment for bookings
Booking templates that involve upfront payment include a Stripe payment field — deposit, full prepayment, or hold. Combined with the calculation field, you can compute dynamic totals (e.g., “group of 5 × $50 per person”).
Reminder emails
After a booking is confirmed, Form Forge can send:
- Immediate confirmation email to the customer with booking details
- Admin notification to you
- Reminder email to the customer X hours before the appointment (via WP Cron)
- Follow-up email after the appointment

Compared to a dedicated booking plugin
Dedicated booking plugins (Amelia, BookingPress, etc.) offer more: staff management, resources, complex pricing, etc. Form Forge’s booking templates are for:
